Wines and Gastronomy. Flavors of Mendoza

Mendoza Wines, Argentinean Gastronomy

The Central Region of Mendoza is composed of vineyards in two districts, Luján de Cuyo and Maipú. These are considered the most traditional areas in the Argentine wine industry because they possess a combination of hundred-year-old wineries and vineyards, smaller family properties, luxurious foreign investments and most importantly, contain the emblematic grape variety from Argentina, Malbec.

Our team of sommeliers has designed the tour so that our guests will enjoy winery visits, extraordinary wine tastings as well as the authentic cuisine that identifies us as Argentineans.

At an agreed upon time in the morning, our guide and host, an experienced wine guide will meet with our visitors to start this fantastic wine and cuisine experience.
On the way towards our first winery you’ll notice the characteristic landscape of the oasis of Mendoza, surrounded by vineyards and olive, almond and cherry trees.
Upon arrival we will tour the vineyards, the fermentation rooms and cellars where the wines are put to age.

The guide will introduce us to the wine culture in Mendoza, providing information about production processes, wine aging, the characteristic varietals in the region, the care for the grapevines, conduction and irrigation systems, properties of the terroir, and the proper selection of wine glasses for a tasting, among other interesting facts.

The visit will finish with a wine tasting in the tasting room.
We will continue to our next winery where, after visiting the facilities and vineyards in the company of the staff, we will be invited to taste some of their excellent wines.

At midday, in the picturesque winery restaurant which was constructed in a classy rustic style, we will be able to enjoy a typical Argentinean meal prepared by its prestigious chef and composed of empanadas, exquisitely grilled steak and a wide range of salads and desserts, paired with wines of character and elegance.
In the afternoon we’ll have time to tour the lovely gardens surrounded by hundred-year-old vineyards and tree groves.
Later, after sharing a memorable trip together, our host will transfer you back to Mendoza.

Full day. Approximately 7-8 hours.
